Pioneer: The lost chapters By: Fragraham Lincon ------------------------------------------------------------------- this covers the events of both Pionner part 2 and part 3. These chapters had previously dissapeared when HFUFF moved to its new server space. Now the lost chapters are about to be retold. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I was running scared. I didn't have time to consider the shame of my cowardice. I just knew that it felt like Kagato was still breating down my neck like an impalla making one last desperate dash with a hungry cheetah bearing down on it. After Advancing down the long hallways of the strange place called NCC I found myself in I began to realize that this structure was bigger than I thought. There wasn't going to be an immediate exit no matter how fast or far I ran. I slowed down and finally looked behind me. I could still hear the sounds of battle so far away. I also realized that I had left Gomisaki behind. I couldn't just leave her to Kagato but to get to her I'd have to go right through Kagato. I needed help. I looked at the strange device I had stolen from the Guardian called Shane earlier. It looked like a palm top computer but was displaying in 3 dimensnions and had an archaiac keaboard. I navigated its menu system as best I could slowly making out a patern. When I found something that looked different I clicked it. A voice issued fourth. "Where do you want to go today?" I mumbled to myself. "anywhere but here" Not expecting that it would reply. "Random jump confirmed." A purple gate materialized in front of me. I jumped through hoping to get as I said "anywhere but here." I found myself spat out into a building. I looked around and saw I was in a comic store. A fat man with a half grown beard and a shirt reading "Worst episode ever" asked me. "Are you going to buy something?" I looked in my pocket. I was only carrying Jurai dollars. What were the chances that this alien world which I was beginning to guess was earth would take them. I tried anyway and to my surprize he took it. By now I was sure that this was not the same earth as my world had known. Perhaps what the guardians had told me about jumping was true. and if so then the divice I had commendeered was a jump calculator. I knew then that I had found an exelent oportunity. Many of the fantasies of one world in fact match up to other worlds. I purchased as many manga, comics, anime, and video game strategy guids as I could then I checked into a motel. All I needed was TV and vcr. To some I would look like a hopeles otaku but I was in fact researching for strong warriors who would aid me in fighting Kagato. I in fact learned a great deal about Kagato's origins. After having cleared through my stash I tinkered with the jump calculator some more. After finding the language select I was able to program it to jump to worlds matching the ones I had read about. First I headed to the world where seven mystical stones called dragon balls existed. Obviously there was going to be some stiff competition for those balls and the wish associated with them. Thankfully I jumped far into the future where most of the super powers had died off and the balls were easy enough to locate. I called fourth the dragon. The sky darkened. The dragon was a lot more impressive than any manga made it look. I asked of the dragon. "Please great dragon bring me from the other side great warriors with style to fight along side me." "You'r wish shall be granted. I have probed your mind and found your deffinition of style. BEHOLD" the dragon responded and then dissapeared. I turned around to see behind me the figures I recognized from the manga I had read. Zarbot, Raditz and the Ginyu force. "Capn I think we have a new capn." Said Jase. Zarbon and Raditz looked at each other. "What are you doing here lowly Saiyan" Said Zarbon. Raditz rushed Zarbon and was ready to for the kill but thankfully was halted by Captain Ginyu. "Calm down both of you. We've been wished back by the same person. So we're bound to him by honor." Raditz and Zarbon stopped. "Yeah all of you. Freeza is dead. You don't have a reason to fight see this" I said to everyone handing them an issue of DBZ where trunks beat the utter shiznit out of Freeza. After that I had little trouble convincing them to help me out. It seems warriors will fight for anyone that gives them a good reason. We filed into another vortex this time plugging in a thurough strategy guide to FInal Fantasy 6. We landed in an old ramshackled home full of small children. Recalling what I had read I asked a little girl with pigtails "Where's your mama?" She pointed to the back room. I walked in to be greeted by the hottest green haired chick you'd ever see. But oen you have to respect. Because I was there to recruit her. "Oh, Who are you people?" She asked. I stepped forward and pulled up a chair. I was running it through my head how to ask her. "Terra Branford right?" "Yes that's my name." "You hate tyrany right? I mean you've fought hard to protect the world you love right?" "Yes that's right" "Well if someone else lost someone that meant a lot to them. Like a sister would you help them get that person back." "Well yes. Is that what you need?" "Yes something like that. It's hard to explain but if I asked you to save someone important to me and to travel to another universe to do it and to fight someone even more powerful than Kefka to do it?" "you mean like Locke did?" "Locke?" "like when he helped the guardian." "Well I'm no guardian but I'm glad to know you've heard of dimensional travel." Again we filed into a portal with one helluva powerfule half esper in tow. I figured we had enough assistance already but I found that I couldn't get the computer to calculate a streight jump to the NCC so I took a side route. I ended up in someone's house. I was greeted by a strange alien that looked well like...a cindar block. It pulled a shotgun on me and yelled "CINDAR BLOCK MAN!" Next thing I know There's a squigly eyed rock yapping at me like a small dog. A brick with a face bounced in the room. the cindar block Yelled again. "CINDAR BLOCK MAN!" the brick then spoke. "He wants to know why you're in our house." I replied telling my lengthy story about being sucked into a dimensional portal and spat out in another world. about ending up at the NCC and being seperated from Gomisaki and about Kagato. "CINDAR MAN BLOCK CINDAR BLOCK MAN!" Brick boy again translated. "He says he wants to help. We're the brick familly a group of interdimensional travelers. Cindar block man is my older cousin the all knowing one. The little one is Pet rock. I am Brick boy. and this is Jiggly block" a creature fitting the description entered the room. It was pink and squishy with stubby limbs and was cube shaped. "Jiggly block is Cindar block man's son by a Jigglypuff." A huge also block looking lady thingamobob also walked in. "Oh this is princess Mula. We met her on one of our adventures." Said brick boy again. "By the way she's not really a princes but I'm not gonna tell her that. "he wispered." I nodded in a agreance. I welcomed the new companions no matter how strange as I would need every ally I could in the fight against Kagato. Finally we jumped back to the NCC and arrived in the docking bay. Gomisaki was still parked there. She was only a short distance from me but between her and I stood the one I feared most. KAGATO! ---------------------------------------- I reached behind my back and drew my lightsaber alighting all 4 blades. Raditz transformed himself to a super saiyan letting his hair add 5 feet to his height. Zarbon also transformed as the others prepared for battle. Just before we all attacked we were interupted by Guardians Ray and Shane who stood at the ready. They looked like they had a way better chance so I sat back and watched. They in unison launched an enormous attack at Kagato but found that strangely their attacks weren't working against Kagato but rather were increasing his energy. Then I remembered what I'd read about Kagato. "BACK OFF YOU TWO! KAGATO IS AN ENERGY BASED BEING! IF YOU DIRECT BATTLE ENERGY AGAINST HIM LIKE THAT HE'LL ONLY FEED OFF OF IT!" But my cries were drowned out by the raor of Kagato's energy blast which blew the two guardians down. I yelled to Kagato. "STOP! I'll take my ship back from you and show you who the best damn space pirate is! The Renegade Force is here. Now come yet your wupin!" Kagato raised a hand and blasted at me just as I'd predicted. I took the blast head on and believe you me it hurt but thankfully his blast was lessened by the attacks coming from all around him as the renegades attacked from all angles. "What? Why is my sheild not absorbing this?" Kagato said. "Because Kagato. Beings like you cannot flourish where the purest of energies exist. Like the power of Jurai!" I replied. "You? You're not a Juraian. I know your people very well. There's no record of one like you." "Well then why does it hurt you so much when I'm around. and when I do THIS!" I dashed forward and laid my Lightsaber into Kagato's shield forcing it in as hard as I could. I could feel Kagato's energy decreasing slightly but it still wasn't by much. I spun the lightsaber faster and faster so that the blades seemed more like a disk than 3 seperate beams. I almost had some significant progress made before Kagato realized that he could kick my ass with his left eyebrow....so he did. He in fact knocked me back through several walls. As he left my energy feild he began growing stronger and was again able to absorb energy. Ratitz prepared to fire a "keep your eye on the birdie" attack but was blasted off his feet by Kagato. Terra began to chant a summon. Kagato targeted her and fired another blast. Terra was too lost in the chant to notice thankfully Jase entervined blocking the shot with his own body. Meanwhile I was pulling myself to my feet. I again activated my Mecha armor in hopes that it would be enough. I said hello to Kagato once more with my full compliment of Mecha missiles. Kagato didn't lose much energy but was however momentarilly blinded by the flash and smoke. Terra finnished her chant. The cieling above us split open and a massive dragon swooped down. It spat from its mouth a massive ball of energy with consumed Kagato and several floors below him. The dragon dissapeared and terra fell to her knees. I De activated my Mecha armor and held my chest where Kagato had landed his blow. Man did it ever hurt. Terra was a little dizzy from using up most of her magic power on that summon but otherwise fine. Raditz was rubbing his head. I stood over the hole where Kagato once stood. I then heard a whooshing sound. Something was moving up through the hole. I could see it coming into view. KAGATO!. Before I could dawn my armor again he drew his blade and cut through my chest. The wound was deep. Bood gushed fourth and sizzled on his sheild. I was getting very dizzy from loss of blood and the intense pain. I held the wound trying to limit the bleeding. Terra rushed over reaching into her pack for a healing item. Kagato had his back turned to me and was picking off my allies. After swatting downt he Ginyu force he turned his attention to Terra who was on her way to assist me. He pointed a hand and launched a beam at her. I struggled to my feet and for some reason that I don't know threw myself in front of her. It seemed too heroic for me at the time. I guess I was still too much of a nice guy for my own good. Kagato's beam blasted me hard. I was torn up all over. My body was hurting like never before. And yet stubborn as ever I stood up. Something was strange. Some energy was surging up in me. "still fighting are you? are you really ready to die so young. You're just a boy. your Jurai power may be able to limit my abillities but it is far too small to har me now." Kagato held up his hand showing me the ring he wore. "Do you see this ring? It enhanced my power. It feeds on my power and grows stronger and stronger. The cycle or strength will continue untill I become a true god!" Ray struggled to his feet and yelled to Kagato. "You.....are a destroyer? Then I will defeat...." but was interupted by Kagato. "Oh do shut up." Said Kagato Blasting Ray back down. Kagato then turned a hand to me and let loose a massive blast. I could feel its heat singing my eyelashes at it approached. It was more than hot enough to incinerate me. and it was coming too fast to dodge. The blast landed and the hull around me melted. But when it landed it didn't contact. The blast dissipated in front of me. Before me I saw a solid white sword. I instinctivelye reached out and grabbed it. From the sword came an energy wave which flew back and engulfed me. Around me the energy formed an armor. I found in my hand the sword. A lighthawk wing. Upon my back twelve more swords of the same type. "WHAT!? HOW!!! HOW CAN YOU BE GENERATING THIS! NOT EVEN TSUNAMI HAS THIS POWER! DIE!!!!" Kagato Yelled at me as he fired off another beam. I cut the beam clean in two with the sword in my hand letting it split and fly off on tangents into the walls of the massive docking bay. Kagato seeing as this was not effective put down his shield and concentrated all his force into his sword. He flew forward to me. I reached to my back and took up the twelve other blades then united them with the first sword to form a massive 13 point wheel. I no longer held the blade but seemed to be directing it with my mind. I spun it at high speed and used it as a shield blocking Kagato's sword. He pushed Harder and harder against it. Finally I twisted the blade, jumped into the air and hurled the weapon down. The heavenly blade shattered Kagato's sword and carried streight through him. Kagato stood motionless for a moment. The lighthawk wings dissapeared and I returned to normal falling to the ground. The wounds again were present on my body. Kagato turned around and gave me a glance of disbelief before returning to his confident smile. "So you are the owner of that great power. The power of the ultimate force......enjoy your curse boy..." Kagato said as he faded from existance. When Kagato was gone his ring too vanished from sight. Gomisaki opened her doors and I limped in followed by the rest of the Renegades. Ray was regaining conciousness. "Wait you're illegally dimension hop...." Ray was again silenced when Jiggly block flew over and dropped on his head. Gomisaki took off and disspaeared into a portal. Thanks to Terra's healing items and my own Jurai power I recovered from my wounds in a matter of hours. I laid in a course for Jurai in hopes of getting some time to figure out what happened. On the bridge I looked over the group of misfits which carried the name Renegade force. "All of you. Thank you for helping me. I'll never be able to repay you for all you've done for me but I'll gladly take you back to your homeworlds with my thanks at least." I said to them all. Jase stepped out of the group. "Capn Frag if the Capn...uhm Capn Ginyu that is doesn't mind I'd like to stay on. I mean we owe you for bringing us all back to life and all. Right capn." Captain Ginyu normally would be angered to have his own leadership assurped by an underling but this time just smiled and nodded as Jase had taken the very words from his mouth. Terra too stepped forward. "You asked me before if I would fight against tyrany. I sense a strong destiny in you and I want to help you find it. Please have me on board too." After brick boy's translation I learned that the brick familly also wished to stay on. I looked out into starlit space. "Alright Renegade Force. We'll sail to the stars and never look back!"
